Marketing Internship - Experiential

Experiential Internship: MARKETING
Terms: Spring 2012, Summer 2012 (2 positions available per term)


The Circle City Chamber Group is an events-based arts organization, and as such, we are continually working on the next big event.  Be it at the top of the cities tallest buildings, the atrium of an historic hotel, or in the most untraditional venue possible, there's always a great deal of work to be done and amazing experiences to be had. 

Under the guidance and supervision of our Executive Director, each intern will have extensive hands-on experience working with staff and sponsors, in preparation for what are quickly becoming the "must see, must do" events in Indianapolis.  

Skill requirements:

  • Working knowledge of all major digital design programs (i.e. Adobe Suite) and social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Understanding of marketing metrics, how to collect and report on them
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative and artistic instinct
  • Passion for “Out Of The Box” thinking
  • Professional interpersonal skills
  • MUST have personal computer with reliable 24/7 internet access

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CCCG staff to develop and coordinate online, print and media marketing and advertising campaigns for upcoming Circle City Chamber Group events
  • Assist in creating new opportunities to help promote Circle City’s reputation and mission statement’ coordinate online marketing and advertising
  • Collect marketing metrics as they pertain to campaigns; report findings to Executive Director while offering suggestions on marketing planning for future events
  • Assist in search engine optimization efforts 

Time Requirements:

  • 6-10 hours per week
  • May include weekend nights (as we collaborate with nightlife sponsors and venues)

With our organization design and event format, no other organization in the city that can offer as much – both in experience and reward – as can the Circle City Chamber Group.
