Mezzo-soprano Lexa Ferrill enjoys a wide range of perfoamce opportunities, from opera to concert stage.  In January 2008 she portrayed the role of Der Trommler in Opera Hub's performance of Der Kaiser von Atlantis.  Recent operatic appearances The Neighbor in Stravinsky's Mavra at the Tanglewood Music Center, Kate Pinkerton in the Jacksonville Symphony Orhcestra's production of Madame Butterfly, and Betty Parris in The Crucible with Indianapolis Opera and Chatauquau Opera.  Ms. Ferrill has also performed the roles of Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Meg Page in Falstaff, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and the Secretary in The Consul.

Recent concert engagments include a performance with Bolivia's Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Santa Cruz for a concert of operatic arias and ensembles.  Other notable engagements include Berio's Circles and Ligeti's Sippal, dobbal, nadihegedüval at the Tanglewood Music Center, Mendelssohn's Elijah with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and a recital at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts under the direction of Paul Serry.  In spring of 2006 Ms. Ferrill sang Mahler's Symphony No. 3 with the Macon (Ga.) Symphony Orchestra. In addition to opera and concert works, Ms. Ferrill is also a committed recitalist witha special interest in contemporary music.  In June of 2007 she attended Songfest in Malibu, where worked with Graham Johnson, Martin Katz, Jake Heggie, and Ricky Ian Gordon. Upcoming engagements include Bach's St. Matthew Passion with the Meridian Vocal Consort and Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and Elijah with the St. Olaf Choir and Orchestra.  Also, she and her husband, baritone Kyle Ferrill, have recently launched Full Circle Music, a concert series focusing on spreading interest in song repertoire and community involvement.
